Notices regarding the health insurance exchanges must be given to current workers no later than Oct. 1, 2013. Starting Oct. 1, the notices have to be given to new workers on the day they are hired.
The Marketplace notice is required of all U.S. employers, regardless of size and regardless of whether you offer a health plan or not. The Department of Labor (DOL) requires that you complete and distribute the notice to all employees, even part-time staff, by October 1, 2013. This article applies to: small and large groups in Wisconsin, Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Missouri, Maine, Kentucky, Indiana, Connecticut, and Colorado.
We have communication pieces you can use to communicate this information to all of your employees. Feel free to view and print these by clicking on Health Insurance Benefits and You and Health Insurance Exchanges Part B.
